Our culture is built on art. Ever since humans existed we made art of any sort. The purpose used to be to tell a story, to connect with your community, to bring joy or to simply just create. Humans naturally like to create.
But i feel like today we are so pressured to make anything have a greater use. Art has to be "good" to make money with it. Time spend on something has to fulfill a purpose. We constantly have to perform for someone and that mindset is taking over art. Thats why ai bros like this so much. Minimal effort and a "good looking" (at least to untrained eyes) outcome. Get everything for free and sell at highest price possible. Thats why they think real artists are obsolete now. They dont understand that the process of creating art is a BIG part of the art piece. In every piece an artist creates there is a piece of their soul in it. Emotions, memories, flaws, colors, mediums, topics. All concious or unconcious decisions carefully composed into reality. Its like a mushroom. The thing we see is the smallest part of it. The roots are spread much further, connected and do the most important work.
