Imagine using "Right To Toil" as your objection to automation and still expecting actual Leftists to side with you. Every job a human no longer has to do is a step in the right direction. Every. Job. Make it safe. But do not listen to the Cogs who cannot discern the difference between assigned task and personality. We all know it's the being told what to do and praised for doing it that they enjoy. It is not task specific. So they will be happy regardless. Just more evidence the American Left does not (can not?) exist above the poverty line and that the Centrists will always sell you out to protect their place on the Plantation. Rail to centralized distribution. Driverless truck to destination. Or vice versa. With the right network of distribution centers no truck would ever have to spend more than 50 miles each way on our roads. and since the roads would run from central to local distribution centers they could even be dedicated solely to the task and accessible only to driverless trucks and the vehicles needed to service them.
