AI content is not art because art is a form of human development and communication. I put my thoughts, my feelings, my past experiences in my drawings. Even silly doodles I do on the edges of notebooks are echoes of me from over a decade ago. AI doesn’t develop your skill, doesn’t improve your understanding of color theory, composition, proportions, perspective. AI has no cultural background, no historical value, no actual improvement of human condition. Unless we get to a Detroit: Become Human kind of situation where robots are so complex they a just synthetic people, AI can never be art. And these comments just show that these tech bros have nothing but contempt for artists. Belittling us, mocking us, devaluing our knowledge and labor while consuming what we produce. Gen AI is what happens when you see people as a resource as opposed to living persons
