Y'all do realize that generative AIs aren't all the same AI right? Like each one is its own model, meaning some are better than others. Just because you can't get Google to generate an image you want then maybe Google's not the right generative AI for your idea. There's actual AI's out there that can generate unique things you just have to know how to prompt it proper. For instance if you just tell it to give you a blue unicorn, God knows what it's going to give you... But if you specify a style and actual details of the unicorn it can create something pretty damn unique. You 'artists' just don't understand how it works and are just going off the notion of 'its stealing'. Tracing is a kissing cousin of theft, as is drawing with someone else's style. Just go ahead and say that you don't understand how generative AI works. Because all of you are lumping it into a single circle when each has reached different metrics of achievement. Out of all the models I found maybe two that are pretty good at what they do and the rest are mediocre at best. If AI actually stole 'art' then the error margin of the mistakes wouldn't even exist. It's simply training data, kind of like how you drew the same thing 200 times before you finally drew it correctly once.
