Oh everyone, there seems to be no defense for AI. A good argument would always have a counter argument for their opposition. Ahem, all of you artist aren’t original. There I said it. All of you are inspired by something and copying some form of art. Hence oil painting and all the different pieces of art but no one copyrighted oil painting. How about the computer animated people, I’m sure all of you researched, traced, sculpted from an “original”. Literally in one of my art courses, they literally said if you can make some sort of significant change to an art piece as you are working on your own it’s NOT plagiarism of the art piece . AI art mixes a plethora of images/art to compose some sort of originality from a prompt or whatever y’all feel is AI. I feel for all of you struggling in art, but copyrighting isn’t the issue; technology, it’s smarter than you.
Look it this way, hypothetically once AI art is the new norm, traditional are will be valued more. There will be ways for traditional artist (including computer animators) to prove their work without being affect by AI. There is always a niche for traditionalism so be brave.
