Also I think part of the off-puttingness has to do with the fact that when AI messes up when “generating” art it doesn’t mess up in a human way at all. Like with hands even little kids kinda get the basic shape down, even if it’s just kinda some squiggles connected to a circle. But how AI messes up is jarring because it’s mistake shows how it’s completely disengaged from the representational/reflective/or symbolic purpose of art
