UBI or something like it is the only solution for the future. Because if 30-50% of all employment is gone via AI and Automation and Robotics. There will be way too few consumers to buy products and services so those companies would collapse anyway.
So they would basically have to pay nearly the same amount as they would for those 50% employees that no longer work there. Albeit slightly less because some would have had a lot higher salaries. So an average would be the reality. We cannot have a society of 50% people homeless, starving without there would be total unrest and crime.
Companies couldn't exist if they depend on consumerism. Rich people alone cannot float all these companies out there. Most money is mass in mass sales. Not just super expensive luxury products.
