Well if its taking someone elses style, you can always give tribute, but taking credit for someone elses style is just disgusting. Yes your correct that artists have inspiration, but they dont claim that as their style, they will explain and give tribute to the style they tried. People are literally stealing other peoples styles and passing it off as theirs. Its like when someone copies your homework but you tell them not to copy it exactly. Its exactly that but still in a style that someone worked hours on. Its not fair to say its okay just cause “artists take inspiration from others”
Artist cant copy the mona lisa in the same exact same way leonardo did, they can inspire and make fun things but basically ai art is taking someones style they worked for years on and just saying its their art and thats just invalidating the actual time and effort put into the original art.
