Dont misunderstand what im saying as defense of the current GenAI companies/users and their robbery of creatives.
There _are_ really interesting parallels between how neural networks aquire competence and how humans learn.
Neural networks were designed (many many years ago) to mimic the brains structure in a very simple and computationally efficient way.
This means they can be used as a very simplified model for how our brains work, and might help us understand our own learing process better.
I personnaly think NNs do "learn" very similarly to us, but they are obviously trained very differently and live in a world of pure binary data compared to the real world.
