I do believe in being respectful to others, and I think that it is important for everyone to understand what you're talking about here. Machine learning models such as AI image generators are only as good as their data. In other words, the images generated from AI can only be good if the original artists were good at what they did. Looking at it in this way helps to explain why getting credit for generating an image that you yourself put no effort into making doesn't make sense. It isn't wrong to generate images, but it is wrong to train models on copyrighted images.
