Another thing as I continue to watch your video and since you asked about the 'double standard' is that I think your question is incorrect. The fact that a company called Harmonai has a particular standard they adhere to and it is, in principle, opposite to that of the AI corporations you are talking about, doesn't mean at all, that there is a 'double standard' by which society treats different music than visual arts. Apart from that: there is a band called "greta van fleet" that has been both praised and criticized for sounding 'exactly like' Led Zeppelin, and I think it's pretty safe to assume they pretty much based/copied their style on/from Led Z, I think they would admit as much themselves, or something to that effect. So, for congruency, are you saying their music shouldn't be legal/allowed or that it should be regulated in some way simply because they clearly trained themselves by listening to copyrighted songs from Led Zeppelin? (I'm sure they have other influences as well but we'll stick to that for simplicity). If your answer is no, then what changes, in a way that is relevant to the legal issues, when it comes to someone (a corporation even, which ultimately is made of people) creating a program and training it with millions of copyrighted songs (just as GV Fleet did at a lower scale) and then producing something new? If that something new turns out to resemble closely a previously existing song then, yeah, it could lead to copyright issues, but only if the song is used in a commercial way.
