There is so much implicit context in behaviors and error handling that simple descriptions of software don’t capture. If I ask ChatGPT 4.5 for a Mac app that can search with a TextField, the Return button doesn’t work, unless I specifically request that behavior. It’s the little details that AI doesn’t do without explicit prompting … and how could it? I’d need to encode my own “programming methodology” into some rules to get better behaviors. There are a ton of rules you would need to use when prompting for high quality software.
