AI Specialist here. The first time when u asked ChatGPT about it, it refuted the existence of the case because it is not in the training data. Once u pushed it, you can see in the screenshot it searched the web and found it. And LLMs do not inherently have a sense of self -- the same LLM can be ChatGPT or any other company can tell that same AI model (GPT-5) it is another chat model, a senior developer etc. It is designed like this so people can reuse the same LLM for multiple use cases.
People think ChatGPT is way smarter than it is because it gives such human like answer. But it is miles away from true human intelligence.
