The only way people will start paying attention to the imminent dangers posed by advancing AI is to take all their money.
Start with the richest people in the US and China. Some "researcher" needs to turn the best AI models towards emptying back accounts of anyone investing more than a million $ in AI companies.
Take it ALL.
From ALL of them.
Donate it all to non profits that actually help mankind or pay off taxes and debt from anyone making less than $100k per year.
The richest' wealth going to the poorest people would definitely get their attention and maybe they'd stop pushing it.
Money is a motivator, especially when someone is stealing it from you.
