Yoshua Bengio, Geoff Hinton, and Yann Le Cun are the "Godfathers" of AI, the only ones who truly understand the implications and dangers of AI, and unwavering in their conviction. The real danger is human greed, and totally selfish ambitions of fickle lightweights like Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Zuckerberg, and the many AI biz tech philanderers. Now that megalomaniacs like Trump and his nemesis in China has sniffed out blood, opportunity, and Power among these AI lightweights, extra emergency guard rails around AI cant come soon enough. Power in all its manifestations - AI data centre resources, economic, cultural, political, and military has never converged to such priceless point like this in human history. It seems inevitable a trip wire will be triggered, sooner rather than later. It isn't AI we should be afraid of, its the inherent weaknesses in policing ourselves with genuine integrity, care and concern for life. Ironically, the human qualities that drove the research and development of AI in the first place.
