I asked ChatGPT for a summary of a short story with a unique title- it was my homework 20 years ago- it got the author right and made up an entirely plausible but totally wrong plot, completely made up as far as I can tell. If I hadn't known the right answer ChatGPT would have had high school me make this sort of error. It's a long way off working perfectly but it makes enough cohesive sense to fool a casual readthrough and that's dangerous.
