I think you underestimate what the AI tool could do with the right training materials and the right prompts. That said, AI tools are not artists. They are tools. They might create much more complete art than anything else short of a human artist, but if you want them to produce what you're actually looking for, the human vision will have to guide the AI tools. Inpainting, picture-to-picture starting with a sketch, careful use of prompts and selective (again) inpainting... all of these go into creating art with an AI tool, because in the end, it is the vision of the human that has to be satisfied.
