Those law tests etc only require reasoning if you are not "trained" on the responses thousands of humans made to the questions... ChatGPT is not conscious, and is not capable of abstract reasoning. It is only capable of fooling people into thinking it's actually "reasoning". But, most humans will be tricked, because they'll put the ChatBot into a Boston Dynamics robot, and then the "powers that be" will declare their algorithms "consciousness" and the robot will say it feels pain and anxiety, and people will all forget they cried when Littlefoot's Mom, an animated dinosaur they KNEW was fictional and KNEW wasn't "conscious", died in "The Land Before Time". "THIS IS DIFFERENT!" they'll all yell, as they become slaves to the people who write the algorithms instead of the animators at a movie studio...
