The thing is capitalism requires a consumerist class. People buying crap. Without that the filthy rich and the corporations they lead simply cannot exist. they'll have no market. What is needed isnt an unwillingness to transistion to an automated future but a complete rethink of how society and work and money is structured. The idea of what we think of as a job being destroyed shouldnt be seen as negative seeing as so many of us are 'slaves to the wage' and have very unfulfilling jobs.
