You really cooked with "[The artist] is the product of creating art." I think for better or worse, AI will eventually create experiences that will move humans as much as anything created by humans. But humans will be less if they stop making art.
I know you must be aware of this, but y'all don't talk enough about how much of the experience of art is on the consumer rather than the creator. It's much more important what humans bring to the table when they experience art than how AI are able to absorb and remix content in order to generate art. As someone who builds and works with these tools on a daily basis I try to remind myself of the first time I met a friend's parrot. My friend told the parrot my name and the parrot turned to me and said, "Hi Gabriel! I love you." I was like, "Awwww" and it legit felt great. I love that lil guy. People being moved by AI creations is just a testament to the power of language, and all other mediums, we use to communicate with each other.
