It is laughable that these writers are demanding more, as if they are more valuable in the past. The reality is that most of them will soon be out of a job, and begging for table scraps. What is to stop a studio having just one script "writer" who gets AI systems to generate thousands of scripts a day, all for the salary of that one person. Even if only 1 in 1000 scripts turns out to be a winner, this will still be massively more productive than the current system. Taking this to the next stage, why will we even need studios at all? Soon, we won't need to select from available movies, but rather the viewer will be able to use AI to generate a movie on the fly. "I am in the mood for a 90 minutes long cowboy movie, with lots of action, a brave hero, a couple of gun slingers, a cowardly sheriff, and no woke diversity stuff in there". Seconds later, you will be watching the movie, and part way through you will be able to make real time changes: "more gunfights, and less talking".
