Electronic concentration camps are not a new idea. Hitler did so, with tattoed numbers on people, that allowed him to keep track. Nowadays you can separate people by access to money/resources/knowledge. Same as then.
However, compared to Adolfs germany, USA/Britain/France/Germany/Switzerland/Italy do not even bother with efficiency. And that's the reason, they will NOT win their Pseudo-competition with other countries. Lose all their patriotism, and find out that only certain companies and Banks are collaborating via Stock market.
Corporate law(Copyright and patents) will come under scrutiny, because otherwise the RELEVANT companies cannot compete either. Throw in some energy access problems, materials, food & water shortages and actually organised communities will survive, While authoritarian dreamers will EOL themselves sooner or later. Because it is always the same: As soon as they run out of competence, they rely on authority. And if they run out of that,(because no one likes stupid orders) the only thing left is desperation.
