Raw LLM Responses

Here's a question. Don't most of these AI Characters chat things have a paywall. Like you can only send a few messages a day before you have to pay? I didn't try this specific one but after watching the story I went and checked out a couple. I actually found it fun in the way of choose your own adventure. Fanfic. My story didn't even go anywhere near romance or anything but I enjoyed myself but after about 15 minutes or so I was told I was out of chats until tomorrow. Where I'm going with this is where was he getting the money to keep paying for something like this? Also, I think the danger is more in kids having unrestricted to the internet through their cell phones. I know I sound like an old lady when I say things like that, but the truth is I don't think it's healthy for a developing team to spend most of their time on the internet, etc. I'm not sure that I feel like the AI is responsible for his death as much as his unrestricted accesses. When he said I'm coming home, how was the AI supposed to know what he meant by that? That said, I do believe that there needs to be safety measures put in place on these things.. like a program that automatically red flags certain phrases, including when he originally talked about suicide having the character. Do everything possible to talk them out of it and recommend that they call a helpline. I feel like there's no one completely right answer to this problem. My heart goes out to that poor boy for feeling so lonely and disconnected. That part I understand.
