Someone please explain this to me: in all these interviews putting forward the danger of future AI, it underlines the eventual and inevitable massive gap between the rich and the poor where most of of the middle class and lower class will become jobless and the ceo of the biggest companies, especially ai companies, will become astronomically rich. But for how long? What are they gonna sell? To whom? To themselves? Who will buy their products and services? None of these interviews seems to cover the fine balance of the economic system: there are no rich if there are no middle class to be motivated to be rich and not be poor. If the gap is stretch too thin it will snap and collapse.
Further more; does any of these experts ever consider the inevitable democratisation of AI? Where ai will either fall from the hands of its creator and be accessible to anyone who wants to use it as they please? Or worst AI will become autonomous without a preference or a care for either parties ? I’m interested in your input on that.
