I don't know about this all doom and gloom outlook. We live in world of duality, so there's something good about everything that's bad and vice versa. AI won't change this cosmic principle. My intuition is that humanity is looking at the impact of AI from a very narrow perspective of what is known today, where in order to live you need to work to make money. In essence, money is a symbol that represents value of our time, skills and the utility of whatever we buy or sell. If we have robots and AI producing most of the value, then access to goods becomes much cheaper and easier, and the purpose of and perhaps even existence of money as we know it today will shift. As for the question of security, there're definitely valid concerns, but again, one can also imagine a future where there's AI that actually fights for or protects humanity, even if it should fight against another AI. It's all about how we program and condition it today.
