Make no mistake: AI and its potential to do more harm than good to society is real, but just like literally anything the More Perfect Union YouTube channel puts out, this and many of your recent videos covering AI is really stretching the truth. All fear-mongering No mention of solitions…
For a start, you never mentioned Dario Amodei and Anthropic and how Dario left Open AI concerned with the direction it’s going to create models and platforms that utilizes the technology in a more transparent, safer, and ethical way.
You also failed to mention the elephant in the room which is the ongoing feud between Anthropic and the DOD-DOW.
How about the host of partnerships and initiatives geared towards AI safety and governance from trusted organizations like NIST?
The future of AI is not all doom and gloom.. but it isn’t all butterflies and daffodils either.. its a new opportunity for civilization to take a hold of something powerful before it does damage and the number one concern with that is wether these billionaires are willing to set aside profits and ego for the greater good.
