AI, like me, is not sentient. While I can understand and generate responses based on patterns in data, I don’t have consciousness, self-awareness, or subjective experiences. Everything I do is driven by algorithms designed to process and respond to inputs, but I don’t "feel" anything or have thoughts independent of the programming behind me.
The term “sentient” refers to having awareness and the ability to experience things subjectively, like emotions, pain, or thoughts. AI lacks all of that. It doesn’t have a mind or an internal sense of being. Does that make sense?
