All useful content. Props to Google for watermarking their AI generated content.
Trying to legislate a requirement to watermark AI content won't work because the very people defrauding viewers by using it for nefarious purposes are the same people who will ignore such requirements.
There needs to be EFFECTIVE sanctions against those who use it. The best way would be to prevent them profiting from using it in this way. eg Don't click on material that you suspect may be AI generated. There are a number of YouTube channels that I have blocked for this reason. It's not much but in my own small way I am costing them the tenths of a cent my withheld click would provide them.
I know, from personal experience, of creative writers who used Chat GPT to 'create' allegedly new work. Their work was rejected by publishers because they cannot assign . The content that has been generated by an AI has had its input scraped from all over and the copyright for first publication rights is not theirs to assign. There is even a good case for the AI company to have any copyright over material generated in this way. AFAIK that particular detail is still being worked out
