AI art is especially frustrating to me because if anyone who has ever been to even a moderately ambitious art museum sits down and thinks about it, there's so much potential in it for art creation because you're in conversation with the artificial. Think... making a linocut out of a generated image and pulling prints. Or doing a hand-drawn ink copy of AI writing.
Instead we get slop. It's not just awful, it's also tedious.
