Unfortunately, I think AI will soon be able to do what 90% of programmers do now - which is gluing parts together. New algorithms and similar, are not a common task for a developer, not even the top dogs. Debugging might be a thing, but I think AI will soon be able to also figure that out as well, and a significantly increased speed. If anything, we should maybe think about gluing parts, just as we think about building with LEGO - might be a thing. Today there's a great waste of time just filling out data and UI - and UI will not be necessary in a few years. The next interface will be talk, and just with AI generated images, text and graphs at your will, and the way you like the UI to look.
