I'll probably get myself in trouble when I say that I do use AI and I do call myself an artist. But here's the thing - again it's the "why & what for"- I use Ai when I want to have a visual of an idea that I can describe better with words at one moment and can't even comprehend what reference I'd need to draw the thing myself. And for a quick but very specific image I need for a moodboard. And, when I come across an image on Pinterest with "AI" mark on it, I do occasionally take it as free real estate for reference/tracing/chopping to overlay as texture, etc. I would never just generate something and present it as my own - which is one thing that bugs me in a lot of latest-blooming "artists". All that, plus, my mother sent me these videos once - OBVIOUS Ai, but it's these fluffy little critters in different scenes with lovely little messages. And she said - "yes, it's AI but it's a nice message, it's cute & I like it. "
