Poor C++ dev's opinion here: AI is here to stay, there is no question about the benefits. The danger that I personally saw is beginner + AI = spaghetti code, impossible to refactor. Maybe someday AI will replace me, no hart feelings. What I dare to predict is in the near future many companies will call for senior dev help. If you put electricity in the hands of somebody who just learned how to handle fire, at some point something will break.
