Bullshit! I am Gen X all my life I was an artist as an illustrator and sculptor before computers were even a thing. Then computers came and I HAD to adapt to the technology, so went to college to learn graphic design, though many years I acquired more and more experience in many things like, 3d animation, video special effects and editing. Film making, web development and design. So many skills and experience I acquired. My whole life I worked in the creative business. And then, A.I. Ask me what I'm doing now. Hint, not art.
