I agree that people shouldn’t attempt to pass off AI-generated art as real art. However, I must admit that I don’t particularly care about the concept of “stealing.” After all, someone could draw a copyrighted character, making the issue of “stealing” irrelevant. In my opinion, AI art serves as a fantastic creative tool. I use it to obtain accurate color references and generate ideas for my characters. I’m a visual novel designer and writer, and much of my content relies on preexisting stereotypes and ideas. And to any one who says that I should pay artists I do most of my art myself and am really too poor to pay artists. I feel just as bad as you for using ai sometimes.
