16:00 European roads aren't going to "Americanise". They were constructed the way they were because of buildings and properties, many of which are historically protected.
If self-driving cars cannot handle non-American roads, then non-American countries won't use American self-driving cars unless they code them to work on any road. In my humble opinion I think a 2-tonne vehicle moving at 100km/hr should indeed know how to drive on all road types and shapes perfectly. American Defaultism at its finest.
