These are difficult questions for even experienced ophthalmologists since they are at the level of subspecialty knowledge. AI will never be 100% but even suggesting a possible differential diagnosis is helpful. AI has already proven useful in assisting knowledge workers to be more productive and it will get better but it will need humans in the loop for at least a few years but the rate of improvement is accelerating.
