People act like human civilization is the goal of the planet. So much happened before humans and will happen after. Just like dinosaurs and then early man and Neanderthals died out. We are just another stage but we create machines to evolve and be "future proof". There may come a time when robots/AI are like, "remember way back when there used to be humans?"
