Yes, but as a result of that action Altman has obtained a _greater_ degree of control. So was this firing really a good thing? Pyrrhic victory? Useless gesture? Theoretically that firing "showed him"... something?... after which he recovered to be stronger than ever, with most of that pesky board getting the boot and no longer slowing him down. Or he outplayed his enemies and now ready for this AI Republic to be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society, which, he assures us, will last for 10,000 years?
