at the end of the day these entitled fucks don't want to create art, they want to create art that looks cool and well made. And they feel they deserve that level of production without putting in the effort to learn the skills. They could pick up a pencil and draw something shitty, but it would still be art and it would be proportional to the effort they've put in. I've spent years and years honing my skills, my first pictures sucked donkey tits. was the rest of the art world gatekeeping art from me because I hadn't put the effort in yet? am I entited to be considered a gymnast as good as other people even though I've never spent years learning to somersalt? no. People don't get to be good at everything they want, sorry. especially when you don't put the work in and don't learn your craft. don't pretend typing a 20 word prompt and picking the best result the computer spits out puts you on the same level as someone who's spent years learning how to find the perfect spot, the perfect time of day, the right lenses to make the perfect photograph. or how to blend gouache to match someone's skin tone for a painted portrait. AI images aren't about making art, they're about AVOIDING making art.
