I do cloud architecture, automation and IaC for a living and use AI all day long. This video does not reflect my experience. I can get 4 days of work done in a day now. You just have to know how to use the tools and their strengths and weaknesses. My generated Terraform code almost never has issues, but I can end up chasing my tail for hours if I try to generate full scripts or programs.
I’d also argue most developers shouldn’t be doing serious work on their laptop or home machine. Treat them as dumb terminals and do your work on cloud instances. Your environment becomes reproducible, disposable, and accessible from anywhere. If you’re already using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack, this is a natural extension and not some radical new workflow.
