I feel like Whether or not AI generated art would be considered a persons artwork is highly dependent upon how much creative effort they put into creating the end product. I think we can pretty much all agree that just typing in an input and getting a result is not creating art, but there is some AI art software where the line becomes far more blurry. For example there is AI Software that allows you to combine the elements of multiple images into one image, and I think the argument could be made that sourcing all the different images, deciding which elements you want to combine how much of each element you want, recombining and trial and error until you get what you want is transformative enough to be copyrightable. I'm not saying i stand on one side or the other of that debate I'm just saying the line is kinda blurry.
