The issue with this conversation is that western medicine and science automatically take the position of "the truth", so even if Ayurvedic medicine was proven to be more effective, western medicine would synthesize something or look for their own explanation and just incorporate that into Western Medicine, thus preventing any other system from being correct and making themselves stronger
So basically everything that works becomes theirs and even if you discovered it first you didn't know what it was. Like the old addage "if you can explain how magic works it becomes science"
