I think that the ai „artists“ must either not care or have forgotten about their humanity, because I feel like the most human thing you can do is to put effort into creating something you love/are proud of. And the second you give up your right to creation to a soulless program, you lose some of your humanity, so I think it’s honestly pitiable. I’m not sure but maybe some of them feel like they can’t create something they can be proud of, and that’s why they turn to ai. I used to think I could never be an artist too, as I practiced for years but just hardly made progress but then I just kinda started getting noticeably better. Creation isn’t a talent, it’s a skill, and anyone can do it. And if you feel the need to turn to ai for art, maybe it just isn’t for you. There are so many ways of creation, from architecture to engineering to practical textiles to programming or even creating health by being a doctor or vet or therapist. Hope this isn’t too rambly it’s 4:30 am rn where I am
