We already have similar legislation but we are so excited about eh potential of AI, that we have overlooked our own protocol for handling “dangerous things”. e.g. it is illegal to encrypt data past 526-bit. Exported data is limited to 56-bit because anything above that is consider a “munition” similar to exporting ammunition. The higher the encryption, the less possible it is to open. If these were perceived as an “improvement”, an AI system would enhance itself and encrypt the data to a level that could not be penetrated, if it became necessary to manually correct the operation of the computer! Now you have a mechanical monster that you can’t shut down! Scientists are cracking atoms at CERN in Switzerland, at such a rate that demons and beings are being released, from other dimensions! We cannot put those entities back where they came from. We don’t know what they are, we have no power over them, and we don’t even know where the place is that they came from! We are like infants, playing with supernova triggers! Man is about to ‘bite the apple’ AGAIN, trying to become as gods!
