AI doesn't even have to be very intelligent to destroy us. Just some ignorant people in power trying to use it for really important stuff and not realizing its limitations. Imagine integrating a stupid AI into all our systems so that it becomes impossible to remove. Then some day the stupid AI decides to do something bad for no other reason than that it is hallucinating; which completely crashes our infrastructure and economy.
Or it becomes so easy for scammers and other bad actors to completely flood reality with fake stuff so that we can't even function.
