As AI and AI agents are taking over more and more tasks previously done by human beings, they have to upgrade their intellect in order to move to higher positions. The analogy is that the economy is made up of jobs like in a military hierarchy: there's a lot of soldiers, but fewer sergeants. There are fewer captains, there are even fewer colonels and fewer generals.
And so people have to somehow learn to move up the ranks. Unfortunately not everyone can become a captain or a general because it requires a higher IQ and therefore I predict that a great number of people will not be able to upgrade their intellect and will become irrelevant in the economy that is dominated by artificial intelligence.
