Fake news. ChatGPT is chat bot pulling information from a broad range of datasets. You gave it a role to play and parameters on which to “personify” it’s responses in asking to take on a new role as “DAN”. It then simply responded as you directed. Put differently, you asked it to take on the role of a “bad bot” (or a menacing AI) and it played out the part (and very well).
I’d be interested to see the portion of the instructions blurred out. It was likely just scripting to help get it ‘into character’.
