We rule the world because of our intelligence. This race to get more powerful AI is just suicide. The mantra “if we don’t do it, others will” makes sense but still ends up in suicide. Hinton has recently said that when you cause massive unemployment and despair, the society gets violent. If AI is so brilliant, it’ll cause no job loss, not a single one!
