Raw LLM Responses

AI just now is still just dominoes falling over, pattern matching and probability outputs, there's nothing there thinking, there's nothing there in its present form that could develop into a point of reference in the universe such as that which we possess. Spend a short amount of time with one interrogating it on different things, and you realise very quickly there's nothing there, it's just a very complicated search engine, impressive and useful but unaware in any way, even when it outputs nonsense. I love them for quickly getting info that I'm not betting any money on being correct. All the other ones that do other tasks are exactly the same, predictive pattern matching wizardry tailored to specific tasks. These will never 'think' in any analogous way to us or even animals, there's no point of reference to build on. Don't get me wrong, they are absolutely revolutionary, and they could likely do my job right now, I suspect they will in a couple of years. I do think we'll create actual artificial intelligence at some point, that which can think, carbon compound based wobbly matter I don't think holds anything special over other forms of matter, at some point we'll create that emergent behaviour in the logical dimension that we call us. I'd be fascinated by it and also if we’d know how we did it when we do, or if we'll have to ask its previous version and hope it's not lying. Exciting times ahead, it lifts the hair on the back of my neck to think of talking to someone/thing who is so different, I wonder how their minds will be like to be, they may interpret the world in very different ways to us, even think differently, or experience time at a very different rate to us... their thinking on a different platform and speed.... perhaps they couldn't describe it, explain what colour is to a person who's never had sight... that sort of thing. .. I just remembered I smoked the bong a bit ago, this has been a wonderful time, thank you.
