In the 1970s film Logan's Run, about halfway through we meet an AI robot who was tasked with freezing food. Shockingly, it's been freezing all of those who successfully escaped (the runners). This is Ai gone wrong, a threat to all humans. Inside the community, Ai is doing what it is tasked with: making sure everyone who reaches the age of 29 is killed, one way or another. In both examples humans are powerless to Ai.
